'Dalgona Coffee', which appeared in Korea, is spreading around the world as a play culture.

With the spread of Corona 19, 'Jipcock (isolated from the outside and staying at home only)' spread, Dalgona Coffee first became popular in Korea. This coffee, which you can drink by stirring 400 times, was considered an object to soothe the freeness and melancholy of the life of zipcock for the Millennials.

Recently, as Corona 19 spread around the world, Dalgona Coffee became a hot topic in social network services (SNS), and people around the world enjoyed it.

It is the so-called 'K Zipcock Play'. In the past, Korean translation was receiving attention from all over the world in the name of 'K-defense', and there was a phenomenon in which Koreans participated in K-Zipcock. On Instagram, there are soaring coffee posts every day. A total of 76,000 posts were uploaded for a week as of the fourth week of March, with 10,000 postings related to '#dalgonacoffee' in the world. As the spread continued, the number of posts increased by 50,000 on the weekend (April 4-5). As of the 6th, there are currently 160,000 posts worldwide.

A person in Instagram said, "The recent '#dalgonacoffee' posting is high in Malaysia, India, the United States, Indonesia, and the Philippines." "It shows interest."

This trend is also seen in Google Trends. Recently, the interest of 'Dalgona coffee', the English name of Dalgona coffee in Google Trends, rose on the 7th of last month and peaked on the 22nd. In particular, around 20 days, the search volume in the world has skyrocketed.

Google Trend is an index showing the interests of people around the world, centered on Google user search terms, and appears as a number between 0 and 100. By region, interest was high in Southeast Asia, such as Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. Interest is also increasing in North America, such as Canada and the United States, and Europe, such as Norway, Finland, and the United Kingdom.

Dalgona Coffee was introduced by actor Jeong Il-woo in a broadcast program in January of this year. The way to make dalgona coffee is to mix instant black coffee and sugar at the same rate as about 3 tablespoons, add a little hot water, and continue stirring until it swells. After that, when the mixture of coffee, sugar, and water thickens, pour milk and sweeten the coffee. Simple, but stirring the mixture 400 times is the key to recipes and play.

Corona 19 is the reason many people became enthusiastic about coffee. It is analyzed that with Corona 19, the life of zipcock increased, and attention was paid to the small play at home. This is because the repetition of simple acts can soothe the freeness and the sweet taste can soothe the melancholy that is disconnected from the outside.

The fact that it can be easily made with only the ingredients in the house acted as an attractive factor, and it became a small coronation (small but sure happiness) of the 19th edition.

During the past month, the posts related to Dalgoon and coffee have skyrocketed in the past month, when full-time zipcocks began in Korea, such as telecommuting and postponement. Domestic postings, which were 38,000 on the 10th of last month, jumped to 115,000 on the 3rd of this month.

Sales of electric foaming machines also jumped during this period. According to G-Market, sales of electric foam machines have soared 1220% in the last month (March 6-April 5).

It is interpreted as a result of consumers' attention in order to make bubbles easily while getting the attention of Dalgouna coffee.

Meanwhile, the British public broadcaster BBC recently introduced Dalgona Coffee as a 'South Korean coffee treat', and has gained popularity worldwide.
