What is Gangnam? The History of Gangnam with Photos

In 2012, I was working in Malaysia for work, and whenever I met new one, they asked me to sing a song, Gangnam style, which was performed by Psy.  

All the foreigners thinks all of Korean can sing that song with horse dance, anyway it was not so bad that they know my country and korean songs even I'm not such a patriot.

As everybody knows. Gangnam is the richest spot in Seoul. Most of entertainers and money collectors live in Gangnam and the street is much crowd with stylish girls after sunset. I'm not sure why so many young girls are gathering on Gangnam after call a day, anyway indeed it is perfect place to hang out in Seoul. 

In 1970, Gangnam was empty place, there was no buildings and no housing for people. 

In Seoul's history, most of city development was placed in Gangbuk (North part of Seoul).

Anyway Korean Government announced new commencement of urban development in Gangnam, and they supported all the infra under construction.

As you can see, the bare city becomes the hottest spot in Seoul for 30 yrs. 

Samsung HQ is located in Gangnam intersection spot, the center of Gangnam. 

If you want to see the real night culture of young generations of Korea, Gangnam is the best spot.
