What will be changed in 2018? 

Do you heard it? Maybe you overheard, but not understand exactly what it is. 

First, 

Minimum wage in 2018

7,530 won per hour will be minimum wage of everybody in South Korea.

It is 16.4 percent increased won, and it never been up like this much before.

President Moon said his final target of minimum wage will be 10,000 won per hour before he leave Blue House in 2022. But he also mentioned he will watch carefully the impact of wage increase in 2018, then he will control the pace of wage from 7,530 to 10,000 won. 


English class for 1 ~ 2 grade schooling, is it needed? 

From March of 2018, whole elementary school can't open English class for 1~2 grade students. 

"No study burden on your kids" 

This is their slogan for educational improvement in 2018. 


Personally, what I think of studying English is should not be runned in school. Learning language is not subject with books, it is part of understanding of culture and how to communicate with people, not just only reading books and memorizing words for the exam. 


No trash bin in toilet 

Government announced there will be no more trash bin in toilet, dissolving toilet paper is mandatory to keep inside toilet. 

Especially foreign visitors were complaining a lot with this toilet trash bin, with this changes most of complaints will be gone.
